Currently reading: Skoda Superb gets Euro IV diesel

Company car drivers opting for the Skoda Superb 2.5 V6 Tdi can now avoid the three per cent tax surcharge on diesels.

Lower emissions for the modified six-cylinder diesel means that it now meets Euro IV regulations. Changes to the fuel injection system, turbo, cylinder head, and a remapped ECU also mean a slight bump in power to 160bhp, 5bhp over the old 2.5 V6. But the big news is the increase in torque to 258lb ft, up 30lb-ft. Fuel consumption though remains the same at a combined 39.8mpg.

Two models are available: the £20,700 Comfort six-speed manual and the £24,800 Elegance auto.
